Juanjo (58) is leading a highly regarded and stubborn team of archaeologists who will be digging in one of the first cities ever known. They hire 18 local workers to work in the excavation. One of them is Abo Dya (38) a fugitive from Amman, who lives, out of the law, in the same village without protection from anyone and who is waiting for the birth of his second child. That is making the pain and the shame appear.

This is a film about communication, about interwoven lives and about the traces we leave in the people we meet and in the places we live. How does the past influence us to move forward?
