Pau decides to take advantage of his mother's birthday dinner to introduce her to his girlfriend, Emma. Pau will soon learn that his older brother Miki, who he has not spoken to for 15 years, will be in attendance. No one at the table seems to remember the reason behind this estrangement nor can they explain to Emma the cause of the fight, of which only pride remains now. The dinner goes on and Miki has yet to appear. Disconcerted, Emma realises some things that she will prefer to keep silent during the course of the evening. Finally, it is time for everyone to sleep, except for Pau, who will spend a long, restless night awake.
