Alicia returns to the house that she run away as a child. She is a young mother now and her husband and nine years old daughter, Nora, come with her. Alicia seeks to rebuild her life while being forced to confront a buried past and a body that refuses to die: Victoria, the possessive family matriarch, who is in coma and connected to a machine.
The sinister house never was a happy place. Demonic spawn and dark presences doze on their walls. Nora's fragile innocence soon breaks down due to an unhealthy fascination with the figure of her grandmother Victoria, falling prey to a web of macabre games, lies and evil. Alicia soon understands that the ghosts of the past not only haunt her.
