The Barefoot Bodies

The children are dying. In any case, they are no longer called children, but "developing individuals". An old man lives in a commune, in an apathetic and uniform existence, only punctuated by the usual deaths of children, whose bodies he must take charge of withdrawing. One day, the State assigns it the mission of raising one of these "developing individuals". The small one in question says to be called Lola, and rejects all the norms established in the society. The old man will recover feelings that he believed lost, while Lola, irremediably, loses her innocence and discovers mortality.
