1885. A Coruña. On her first day of school Marcela meets Elisa. A great friendship is born. Over time, Marcela's parents become distrustful of their relationship and send her away to boarding school to put an end to their suspicion. Years pass, but their feelings for each other remain the same. When Marcela comes back to Galicia, she looks for Elisa to begin a happy life together. However, rumours start, forcing them to devise a plan: Elisa leaves town for a while to come back as Mario and marry Marcela.
