La Vall del Francolí

More than forty years ago, a new model of economic development was imposed upon Tarragona. It brought work and wealth but ultimately ended up mortgaging the area. Health problems and environmental pollution have called into question what was once considered progress and the people from La Vall del Francolí lost their ability to make decisions about their home. Now, decades later, it may be too late to shift towards an economic model that respects the environment, and residents may only have one option left: to watch over their own health.
