Where can we find love in today's world? Francesca and Love is a documentary feature film about a Barcelonan artist who, upon turning sixty and finding herself alone at home, decides to look for a partner. But where does one look for such a thing today? Encouraged by her friends, she begins a crazy and extravagant adventure on the dating app Tinder, which will lead her into many unique sexual situations, but will end up leaving her feeling frustrated and empty inside. The difficult relationship Francesca shares with her dying mother will help her realise that love is closer by than she thought.
Francesca and Love is an ode to femininity, sexuality and love at any age viewed through a lens of humour, joie de vivre and affection.
